Family Sponsorship

holding handsFamily sponsorship is a ministry begun in 2002 to confidentially assist and support families that have specific needs, that are otherwise difficult to address. A need for help could be either short-term or long-term. Examples of those who have been helped in the past include: fuel assistance, personal support, financial consultation, holiday food and gift baskets and help in the home after a serious accident. Assistance may also include securing in-home-help after surgery or the birth of a child. In addition to our need-based program, we annually support many our parish programs and events, contirbuting to the First Communion and Confirmation family receptions, purchase hardware & specialized office equipment for the Religious Education Program, provide Easter baskets for hospital, home-bound and many senior parishoners, and provide sponsorship to St. Joseph’s High School students engaged in Habitat for Humanity programs and other relief efforts.

Dinners to Go

This program will provide a dinner per week for any parishioner who may be in need of such help in the event of an illness, delivery of a baby, post-hospitalization, or death of a loved one.
