St. Mark statueOn Friday, April 24th, there will be a pizza dinner at the Parish Center from 5-7pm. Homemade pizzas (with Fr. John’s sauce) and salad. $10.00 per person.

On Saturday, April 25th, there will be wine and cheese on the patio (weather permitting), after the 4pm Mass.

On Sunday, April 26th, the 11:00am Mass will be in English and Spanish, with music provided by our African community, followed by a light lunch on the patio.

Annual St. Mark’s Father Daughter Dance!

father daughter danceThis year St. Mark’s Father Daughter Dance will be held on Saturday February 28th  at the St. Mark Parish Center, 300 Columbus Avenue Extension, from 7 to 10 p.m.

Tickets are $10/person and can be purchased at the door or from three Pittsfield locations: Deidre’s, 75 North Street; Flynn’s Pharmacy, 173 Elm Street; or St. Mark’s School.


Religious Education Classes start September 7, 2014

reglious education image cut artRELIGIOUS EDUCATION & ORIENTATION FOR ALL GRADE LEVELS including volunteers, parents and children/teens at the Church on Sunday, Sept. 7th immediately following the 9am Mass for approximately 30 minutes.

Religious Education CALENDAR 2014-2015.

In September we will celebrate Catechetical Sunday. The root word “catechesis” is from a Greek word meaning “to echo or resound”. Catechesis is the act of resounding or bringing the Church’s teachings to our world. A Catechist is one who teaches in the name of the Church. This ministry of teaching in the name of the Church has a profound dignity. This is why we set aside a day to highlight this ministry and invite the entire church community to think about our responsibility to share our faith with others. Parents are truly the primary catechists of your children. You prepare the soil and plant the first seeds of faith. On this Sunday we commend the volunteers but also the parents and guardians who take their role of making their Catholic households a place where faith is passed on to the next generation.

Celebration of Our Lady of Cisne, Patroness of Equador

Mass was followed by a Procession of over  forty parishioners to the School where they held a fiesta to celebrate Our Lady of Cisne, Patroness of Equador.
